2027: Makinde Emerges APM Presidential Candidate, Receives Certificate Of Return

amakimakimde Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde, has emerged as the presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) for the 2027 general election following the conclusion of the party’s nomination process.

 

His emergence is being viewed as a significant development in the political landscape as parties intensify preparations ahead of the next general elections.

 

Makinde was officially presented with his Certificate of Return by the National Chairman of the APM, Alhaji Yusuf Dantali, at a ceremony held in Ibadan and attended by party leaders, delegates, supporters and political associates.

 

The presentation formally confirmed the Oyo State governor as the party’s flagbearer for the 2027 presidential election.

 

Speaking at the event, Dantali described Makinde as a leader with the experience, capacity and vision required to drive national development.

 

He urged party members across the country to rally behind the presidential candidate and intensify mobilisation efforts ahead of the polls, expressing confidence that the APM would provide Nigerians with a credible alternative in 2027.
