Ondo APC Seeks Unity After Primaries, Rallies Supporters

JjThe Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has called for unity among party members following the conclusion of its primary elections, urging stakeholders and supporters to close ranks and strengthen mobilisation ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

The party made the appeal while congratulating Muslim faithful in the state and across Nigeria on the successful celebration of the 2026 Eid-el-Kabir festival.

In a statement issued by the state Publicity Secretary, Otunba Muyide Adeyeluwa, the APC said the peaceful celebration of the festival reflected the values of religious harmony, sacrifice, tolerance and national unity.

Speaking on behalf of the party, the Ondo State APC Clchairman, Kolawole Babatunde, said the Eid-el-Kabir season offered another opportunity for reflection on the importance of unity and peaceful coexistence.

According to him, these values remain central not only to nation-building but also to strengthening internal cohesion within the ruling party in Ondo State.

“The Eid celebration reminds us of the importance of unity, sacrifice, tolerance and peaceful coexistence as a people. These values are not only essential to nation-building but are also critical to the continued growth and success of our great party in Ondo State,” Babatunde said.

He also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for promoting religious inclusiveness, democratic stability and national cohesion across the country.

Babatunde noted that the recently concluded primaries should be seen as an internal democratic process aimed at strengthening the party rather than dividing it, stressing that all stakeholders must work together for electoral success.

“There is no victor and no vanquished within our party. What is paramount now is unity of purpose, reconciliation, mobilisation and collective commitment toward ensuring the success of all candidates flying the APC flag in the coming elections,” he said.

The party further urged youths, women groups, and stakeholders across the 18 local government areas to remain united and intensify grassroots mobilisation to ensure victory for the APC in the next elections
