2027: Ondo APC Seeks Reconciliation After Primaries

Following the conclusion of its primary elections, the Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has called for reconciliation and unity among party members.

The party urged supporters to work collectively toward securing victory in the forthcoming general elections.

The APC made the appeal while felicitating Muslim faithful in the state and across Nigeria on the successful celebration of the 2026 Eid-el-Kabir festival.

In a statement issued by the state Publicity Secretary of the party, Otunba Muyide Adeyeluwa, the APC described the peaceful celebration of the festival as a reflection of the enduring spirit of religious harmony, sacrifice, tolerance and national unity among Nigerians.

Speaking on behalf of the party, the Ondo State APC Chairman, Kolawole Babatunde, urged Muslims and Nigerians in general to continue embracing the virtues of peace, love, compassion and obedience to God which the Eid celebration symbolises.

According to Babatunde, the values of sacrifice, unity and peaceful coexistence remain critical to nation-building and the continued growth of the ruling party in Ondo State.

‎”The Eid celebration reminds us of the importance of unity, sacrifice, tolerance and peaceful coexistence as a people. These values are not only essential to nation-building but are also critical to the continued growth and success of our great party in Ondo State,” he stated.

‎The APC chairman also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his commitment to promoting religious inclusiveness, democratic stability and national cohesion across the country.

‎Babatunde said the recently concluded party primaries should be viewed as an internal democratic process designed to strengthen the party ahead of the larger task of winning the forthcoming elections in the state.

‎He stressed that members of the party across the 18 local government areas must remain united and focused, adding that there was no victor or vanquished within the APC after the primaries.

‎’’There is no victor and no vanquished within our party. What is paramount now is unity of purpose, reconciliation, mobilisation and collective commitment toward ensuring the success of all candidates flying the APC flag in the coming elections,” he added.

The party further called on stakeholders, youths, women groups and supporters to continue working together with political maturity and brotherhood in order to ensure an overwhelming victory for the APC in the next elections.
