Governor Mohammed Mourns As Bauchi Loses Traditional Title Holder

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has expressed sorrow over the passing of Alhaji Muhammad Aminu Adamu Jumba, the traditional title holder of ‘Bunun Bauchi’.

The governor said he received with profound sadness, news of the death of Alhaji Muhammad Aminu Adamu Jumba, on Friday at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH), Bauchi after a prolonged illness.

In a condolence message issued by his media adviser, Mukhtar Gidado yesterday, Governor Mohammed described the late Bunun Bauchi as a respected elder statesman, a prince of the Bauchi Emirate and one of the few surviving sons of the late Emir of Bauchi, Malam Adamu Jumba.

Late Bunun Bauchi was also an uncle to the Emir of Bauchi, His Royal Highness Dr. Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu.

The governor paid glowing tribute to the deceased, describing him as a man of remarkable courage, discipline and integrity whose life was dedicated to the service of his family, community, and Bauchi State.

According to Governor Mohammed, the late Muhammad Aminu Adamu Jumba was widely admired for his steadfastness, doggedness, and unwavering commitment to the values of honesty, responsibility and respect for traditional institutions.

He noted that the death of Alhaji Muhammad Aminu Adamu Jumba represented a great loss not only to the Bauchi Emirate but to Bauchi State as a whole, stressing that the state had lost one of its revered elders whose wisdom, guidance, and exemplary conduct positively impacted countless lives.

On behalf of his family, the government and the people of Bauchi State, Governor Bala Mohammed extended condolences to the Emir of Bauchi, His Royal Highness Alhaji Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu, the Bauchi Emirate Council, the immediate family of the deceased, and the entire people of the state over the loss.

The governor prayed Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased and grant him eternal rest. He urged members of the family and the Bauchi Emirate to take solace in the enduring legacy of honour, discipline and selfless service left behind by the late elder statesman.

Mohammed also prayed for Allah’s comfort and strength upon the family, friends, associates and all those affected by the loss, granting them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
