Basketmouth Reflects On Health, Urges Nigerians To Embrace Gratitude

Nigerian comedian and actor, Bright Okpocha, known by his stage name as ‘Basketmouth’, has urged people to appreciate the gift of life and remain thankful to God for good health.

In a message shared on his Instagram Story on Sunday, he encouraged his followers to show more gratitude and never take each day for granted.

According to the comedian, being alive and healthy is a blessing that cannot be measured, noting that many people are not fortunate enough to enjoy both.

“We all need to do better at showing gratitude to God. Waking up in the morning, healthy and alive, is a blessing that many people don’t have,” he wrote.

In his message, the comedian encouraged people to look beyond their struggles and disappointments.

He said gratitude should extend to simple blessings, such as being healthy and able to move around without pain or difficulty.

He wrote:

“So what if you miss a deadline? So what if you don’t get that promotion? Lose your job? Or your car breaks down? If you are alive and healthy, you still have something priceless.”

According to him, many people take their health for granted until they experience painful boils in such a sensitive area. He said the discomfort often makes people appreciate the importance of that part of the body.

“Have you ever had boils on both ass cheeks before? That’s when you truly discover the importance of buttocks. Suddenly, sitting becomes a luxury and functioning buttocks become a blessing,” he added.
