The member representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon. Amobi Ogah, has announced a N3 billion empowerment programme for his constituents.
Ogah revealed this at a recent public event in Isuochi in Umunneochi local government area of the state, saying the programme had been scheduled to hold later this year.
His words, “The initiative will provide financial support, equipment and tools to empower constituents, promote entrepreneurship, reduce unemployment and improve livelihoods.
“About 100 persons and small business owners would each receive N1 million as direct grants under the programme in addition to the distribution of operational equipment to other beneficiaries,” he said.
He expressed satisfaction with the impact of the second edition of the programme valued at N1 billion conducted last year to mark his second anniversary at the House of Representatives.
While reiterating his commitment to delivering quality representation, infrastructure and life-changing programmes for the constituents, he invited the state governor, Alex Otti to the programme.
Ogah, who said the governor’s style of governance has inspired him to adopt people-oriented representation, noted that: “Otti has shown us what good governance truly means.”
”He has proved that it is possible to give back to society in ways that touch lives directly. Everywhere we go today, we are proud to call ourselves Abians because of the standard he is setting,” he added.
