Brad Pitt Pushes Court to Force Angelina Jolie to Release Financial Documents

The legal battle between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie over their former French winery has taken another turn, with Pitt asking a court to compel the actress to release financial records he says are crucial to the case.

The request focuses on documents covering 2017 to 2019, which Pitt’s lawyers argue could shed light on claims Jolie has made about her financial circumstances following the couple’s separation.

According to the filing, Jolie has maintained that stepping away from her career left her financially vulnerable and that Pitt’s influence over Château Miraval gave him significant leverage during the years leading up to the sale of her stake in the estate. Pitt’s legal team contends that records from the disputed period are needed to test those assertions.

The filing further claims Jolie originally agreed to provide financial information covering 2017 through 2021 but later restricted her disclosure to records from 2020 and 2021. Efforts to narrow the disagreement during court discussions reportedly failed after both sides were unable to reach common ground on the scope of the evidence.

Pitt’s latest application is part of the former couple’s long-running dispute over Château Miraval, which has remained in court years after their marriage ended and continues to generate fresh legal challenges.
