Tonto Dikeh Announces New Ministry

Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh, has unveiled a new spiritual movement, the New Wine Prophetic Tabernacle (NWPT).

Dikeh announced the development on Sunday in a post on her Instagram page, describing NWPT as an interdenominational altar and a “global movement of consecrated believers” committed to experiencing the power, purity and presence of God.

The movement is anchored on Mark 2:22 of the Bible, which states: “And no one puts new wine into old wineskins.”

According to the actress, NWPT is intended to serve as a dwelling place for believers who seek a deeper Christian experience and are unwilling to settle for what she described as “lukewarm Christianity.”

“NWPT exists as a dwelling place of His presence for those who refuse to settle for lukewarm Christianity and are hungry for genuine revival, fire, and transformation,” the statement read in part.

The movement’s stated vision is “to see a global awakening of consecrated believers operating in the raw power, purity, and presence of God transforming nations and establishing the Kingdom of Christ on Earth.”

Its mission, according to the announcement, is “to build an interdenominational altar of prayer, revival, and apostolic training that equips watchmen, activates spiritual gifts, drives relentless soul winning, and delivers total freedom to the captive through the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Dikeh also clarified that NWPT is not intended to operate as a conventional church but as a gathering of believers committed to spiritual consecration and advancing the Christian faith.

“This is not a church; it is an intense gathering of those consecrated and equipped for the purposes of God. A people set apart, refined by His presence, and commissioned to advance His Kingdom,” the statement said.

The announcement added that the movement holds its weekly fellowship every Friday at 6:00pm.

Dikeh’s unveiling of NWPT comes months after she began signing several of her social media posts as “Ada El-Roi” and became increasingly active in Pastor Jerry Eze’s NSPPD community, alongside reported changes in her dressing and public lifestyle.

LEADERSHIP reports that in December 2025, the actress gave a public testimony at Streams of Joy International Church, where she spoke about what she described as her deliverance from smoking, alcohol addiction, masturbation and prolonged anger issues.

Dikeh told the congregation that she started smoking at the age of 13 and credited her Christian faith with helping her overcome the struggles. The actress also took steps earlier in 2026 regarding her turbulent marriage to her former husband, Olakunle Churchill, a decade after their highly publicised separation and subsequent public reconciliation, bringing an end to their long-running feud.
