₦2.111 Billion Approved for Hadejia Specialist Hospital

Governor Malam Umar Namadi has approved the release of ₦2,111,055,700.87 for the completion of the 250-bed-capacity Specialist Hospital, Hadejia.

The completion of the 250-bed-capacity Specialist Hospital, Hadejia, is expected to significantly enhance the capacity of the state’s tertiary healthcare system, while also reducing pressure on existing health facilities.

When completed, the Hadejia health facility will boost access to tertiary healthcare services for the people of the state and also reduce the risk of unnecessary deaths caused by a lack of immediate healthcare intervention in cases requiring complex treatment.

The sum of ₦467,221,875.00 was also approved for the procurement of 7,500 delivery packs (Mama Kits) to be distributed free at health facilities.

The pocurement of the delivery kits is part of the state government’s policy on free maternal and child healthcare services, designed to tackle the high rate of maternal and child mortality in the state.
