The Olowu of Kuta in Ayedire Local Government Area of Osun State, His Royal Majesty Oba Dr Hammed Adekunle Oyelude Makama, Tegbosun III, has congratulated Governor Ademola Adeleke on his victory in the recently concluded governorship election, urging him to turn the renewed mandate into an opportunity for greater unity, development and inclusive governance.
In a congratulatory statement issued from his palace, Oba Oyelude described Adeleke’s victory as a fresh responsibility to the people of Osun State, urging the governor to govern with magnanimity and accommodate diverse interests across the state.
The monarch charged Adeleke to use his second term to bridge divisions, unite the people and ensure that the benefits of government reach every section of the state.
He also urged the governor to match the promises contained in his victory speech with decisive action, stressing that the people now expect results from the renewed mandate.
“Hit the ground running,” the monarch charged, urging Adeleke to consolidate ongoing development programmes and sustain attention on projects already initiated across the state.
Oba Oyelude further called on the governor to strengthen his people-oriented policies, which he said had earned Adeleke “the love of the masses” and contributed to his success at the polls.
He particularly urged the administration to shift greater attention towards rural communities during the second term, noting that while several urban areas had witnessed significant development under Adeleke’s first tenure, rural areas also deserved sustained investment.
The traditional ruler stressed the need for stronger measures to improve security and the general welfare of residents, describing both as essential to creating a safer and more prosperous Osun State.
Oba Oyelude expressed confidence that Adeleke’s renewed mandate would enable his administration to consolidate its achievements, correct identified shortcomings and deliver more tangible benefits to the people.
He urged the governor to regard the electoral victory not simply as a triumph at the polls, but as a renewed call to service, stressing that the real test of the mandate would be measured by the impact of his second-term policies on the lives of the people.
