‎‎”You Have Been Barred From Coming To Perform In Edo State” – Gov. Okpebholo’s Aide Threatens Davido

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Edo State on Digital Media, Kassy Chukwu, has “barred” singer Davido from coming to the state to perform following his online spat with the state governor, Monday Okpebolo.

‎Recall that Davido clashed with Okpebholo after the governor went to Osun State just before the election to taunt the singer’s Uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke.

‎Okpebholo, while campaigning for the APC candidate in Osun State, asked the electorate if they were not tired of their incumbent governor who is “unserious and only focuses on dancing.”

‎Davido found the comments disrespectful to his uncle and took to social media to take a dig at the governor, mocking him by sharing a poor WAEC result allegedly associated with him.

‎In a recent interview, Davido stated that he would not be apologising to Governor Okpebholo, adding that he felt sorry for the governor’s children given their father’s public conduct.

‎Reacting to the drama, Chukwu released a video berating Davido for disrespecting his principal. He claimed that Davido has been barred from performing in the state for the remaining ‘six years’ of Okpebholo’s anticipated tenure as governor.

‎He also claimed that the WAEC result Davido posted to taunt the state governor was AI-generated.
