NECO Registrar Elected AEAA Vice President

The registrar of the  National Examinations Council (NECO), Prof. Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, has been elected as the vice-president of the Association for Educational Assessment in Africa (AEAA).

The election took place at  the just concluded 42nd conference of the association in Arusha, Tanzania where NECO was also granted the right to host the 2027 AEAA conference in Abuja, Nigeria.

A statement by the director,  information and public relations of the council, Azeez Sani said the twin developments reflected  the growing recognition of Nigeria’s influence in educational assessment with the demands of digital transformation and the integration of artificial intelligence in testing and certification.

He said the Professor Wushishi’s elevation followed his service on the AEAA executive council as representative of the West African sub-region.
