The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has felicitated with Muslims in Nigeria and across the world on the occasion of the Maulud Nabi, commemorating the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
In a statement issued on Tuesday by its National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Jungudo Haruna Mohammed, the party described Maulud Nabi as a significant occasion for Muslims to reflect on the life, teachings and exemplary character of the Prophet.
The PDP said the Prophet’s message of peace, justice, compassion, honesty and love for humanity continued to inspire generations.
The party urged Nigerians to draw from these virtues by promoting unity, tolerance, mutual respect and peaceful coexistence.
“As a nation, we must continue to strengthen the bonds that unite us and work collectively towards a more just, democratic and prosperous Nigeria,” the statement said.
The PDP also called on Nigerians to use the occasion to pray for peace and stability in the country and for divine guidance for leaders at all levels as they discharge their responsibilities to the people.
The party prayed that Almighty Allah would accept the prayers of the faithful, strengthen their faith and grant the nation the wisdom and courage to build a Nigeria where justice, equity and good governance prevail.
The PDP wished the Muslim Ummah a peaceful, blessed and spiritually rewarding Maulud Nabi celebration.
