Post Malone Postpones Asia, Australia Tour Dates, Drops Out Of Strummingbird

Post Malone has postponed his planned tour dates in Asia, Australia and New Zealand, forcing the singer to pull out of his scheduled appearances at Australia’s Strummingbird Festival.

The postponement affects a series of major stadium shows planned for October, including performances at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne on October 9, Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on October 12 and ENGIE Stadium in Sydney on October 15.

Post Malone was also scheduled to perform at Go Media Stadium in Auckland on October 21, although reports have differed on whether the New Zealand date has been formally cancelled or postponed.

His withdrawal also means he will no longer headline the three Strummingbird Festival dates in Ballarat on October 10, Newcastle on October 17 and the Sunshine Coast on October 18.

Festival organisers confirmed the change, saying they were “gutted” that Malone would no longer headline the event following the postponement of his Asia and Australian tour dates.

No reason has been given for the postponement.

The Strummingbird Festival has since added Tyler Childers, Sam Barber and James Johnston to its lineup following Malone’s departure.

The announcement comes after Malone’s Australian and New Zealand dates were originally announced in May as part of his BIG ASS World Tour, with Don Toliver scheduled to join him as a special guest.
