Why I Stopped Going To Church 13 Years Ago – Yemi Solade

Veteran Nollywood actor Yemi Solade has revealed the reasons behind his decision to stop attending church services over a decade ago.

Speaking during a recent interview on the show Curiosity Made Me Ask, the 66-year-old actor stated that he has not attended a church service in 13 years, arguing that confining worship to a single day limits his personal relationship with God.

“God created me in His image. I stopped going to church 13 years ago because I was not finding it funny any longer, though I am a child of God,” Solade said. “My life is not orchestrated towards a particular day. There is no Sunday in the Bible. Without God, I will not be alive.”

Solade also reflected on his personal approach to human relationships, explaining that while he maintains a broad presence in society and receives love from fans, he deliberately keeps a distance from personal intimacy to protect his peace.
