Police Arrest 5 With 2 Suspected Human Eyes, Ritual Materials In Bauchi

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF), Zone 12 Headquarters, Bauchi, has arrested five suspects allegedly found in possession of two suspected human eyes and other materials believed to be connected to money rituals.

The suspects are Abdullahi Idris, Sani Haruna, Auwal Umar, Abubakar Yusuf and Sharu Sale.

The Zone 12 Police public relations officer (PPRO), SP Jalige Mohammed, disclosed this in a statement on Monday, saying the suspects were arrested by the Zone’s Intelligence Unit on August 26, 2026.

According to him, several exhibits were recovered from the suspects, including two suspected human eyes, white and red pieces of cloth, and other materials suspected to be used for money ritual purposes.

Jalige said the suspects were currently in police custody and undergoing interrogation, adding that investigation was ongoing to establish further facts about the case.

He said the investigation would also determine the source of the recovered exhibits and possibly lead to the arrest of other accomplices.

“Upon completion of investigation, the suspects will be charged to a court of competent jurisdiction,” the statement said.

The Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) in charge of Zone 12, Vungmoh S. M. Kwaimo, condemned the alleged act and urged parents, guardians and members of the public to remain vigilant.

AIG Kwaimo also advised members of the public to promptly report suspicious persons or activities to the nearest police formation.

He reassured the public of the Command’s commitment to rid the zone of criminal elements and ensure the safety of lives and property.
