Osun Governorship Tribunal Displays APC/PDP Petition Against Adeleke

Contrary to reports that no party filed petition against the declared election of Governor Ademola Adeleke for the second term, the Osun State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal has displayed two petitions filed by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

LEADERSHIP sighted the petition pasted on the notice board of the tribunal in the premises of Osun State High Court in Okefia, Osogbo Monday afternoon.

Governor Ademola Adeleke had earlier reserved his comment on the viral report that no party filed petition against the election victory declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission on 16th, August, 2026

The display of the petitions is expected to pave the way for the service of processes on the parties and subsequent proceedings before the tribunal.

The APC’s petition, marked EPT/OS/GOV/01/2026, was filed by its candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, against Adeleke, the Accord Party and the Independent National Electoral Commission

The PDP’s petition, marked EPT/OS/GOV/02/2026, was filed by the aspirant Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Adebayo Olugbenga Adedamola against Adeleke, INEC and the Accord Party.

Recalled that Adedamola from a faction of PDP in Osun who was not not enlisted among the 15 candidates that contested the election later declared his support for the candidature of APC candidate Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji.

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Oyebamiji had earlier congratulated Governor Ademola Adeleke on his reelection.
