The chairman of the Gombi local government area has confirmed that 12 people were killed, two people were hospitalised, a church and three shops were looted as Boko Haram attacked Dzangola village of the council.
The chairman of the LGA, Hon Mark Ishaya, confirmed the casualties to LEADERSHIP in a telephone conversation
He said security personnel comparising of soildiers, police and forest guards have been mobilised to provide security and restore normalcy in the area
The attackers invaded the Dzangola community on Sunday.
He said that currently, the two hospitalised patients are responding to treatment.
Also, speaker of the state House of Assembly, Rt Hon Mathiya Wesley, said the Dzangola attack was one too many.
“We are with you in this troubling time,” the speaker told the people.
