Big Brother Naija: Show Ya Sef housemate Araga has said his “lover boy” image on the reality show was not a strategy but a reflection of his personality.

Araga, who was evicted during Live Show 7 on September 13, 2026, becoming the ninth housemate to leave the show, made the disclosure in an exclusive post-eviction interview.

“Me as a lover boy, this is who I am. That was not a strategy. There was no game plan with Araga. Araga was just real, and I think I gave them my realness in the house,” he said.

Araga also spoke about the division among the housemates into Team Sheba and Team Tram, saying he chose to remain neutral rather than get involved in unnecessary conflicts.

“For me, I was neutral because I don’t think I am a fighting person. I don’t think I’m the ‘let’s keep beef’ type,” he explained.

According to him, protecting his peace was more important than engaging in arguments with other housemates.

“I like my peace, honestly. My peace is my peace, and I pray for it every time. I don’t like stress, so if you are giving me stress, I’m looking the other way and I’m walking out,” he said.

Araga added that his calm disposition was not something he adopted for the reality show, describing himself as naturally reserved.

“I’m actually level-headed outside the house, I’m very reserved,” he said.

Despite the divisions within the house, Araga said he was able to enjoy his experience by maintaining relationships with housemates on both sides.

“The house was divided, but I was in the middle. I was fine with it; I was having fun with everybody, too. I talk to you, I talk to them too, so it was fine,” he added.
