Gov Idris Receives Traditional Title Of Garkuwan Katsina Babba

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi state has received the traditional title of Garkiwan-Katsina Babba from the Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman for his performances within three years in office.

The letter of intent was presented to the governor at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi by the secretary of the Emirate Council, Isah Ali Kankia on behalf of the Emir.

He said the Emirate had been following the governor’s activities and developmental projects through the conventional and social media and therefore the Katsina Emirate approved the title for the governor.

He added that people from outside Kebbi State were also benefiting from the governor’s gestures and laudable projects.

“These achievements have strengthened the cordial relationship between the Katsina Emirate and the Gwandu Emirate,” Kankia said.

Receiving the letter, Governor Idris thanked the etmir of Katsina for the honour.

He noted that the development will encourage him to continue to execute more developmental projects in Kebbi State.
