Ghanaian Actress Nana Akua Addo’s Lawyers Urge Privacy As Domestic Dispute Goes Before Authorities

Nana Akua Addo’s legal team has appealed for privacy for the actress and her children as authorities handle a domestic dispute that has gained widespread attention online.

In a statement issued on October 6, Nkrabeah & Associates said videos connected to the incident had been circulated without Addo’s knowledge or consent. The lawyers were particularly concerned about footage involving one of her children and asked media organisations to refrain from reproducing it.

The firm said the case is now “sub judice and in the hands of the appropriate authorities,” signalling that it does not intend to publicly address the circumstances of the dispute at this stage.

The lawyers expressed gratitude to the Ghana Police Service for its response and showed confidence that the courts would address the matter appropriately.

Addo, whose full name is Rosemond Akua Adobea, is yet to give her own public account. Her representatives noted that she would address the relevant issues when the time is right.

The statement comes amid reports that the actress was hospitalised after an alleged assault involving her husband, Harold Norman. The circumstances surrounding the reported incident have not been independently established.

Norman has appeared in videos circulating on social media in which he denies assaulting Addo and makes claims regarding previous incidents in their marriage. Those claims have also not been independently verified.

Meanwhile, Addo’s childhood friend, media personality Mona Gucci, has publicly expressed support for the actress.

With the matter now before the authorities, Addo’s lawyers have asked the public and media to allow the family privacy while the process unfolds.
