American comedian Kevin Hart is facing a new development in his ongoing legal dispute with his former assistant, Miesha Shakes.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Shakes is seeking testimony from Montia Sabbag, the woman involved in Hart’s 2017 extortion and video leak controversy.
Shakes said she intends to question Sabbag about the incident and the investigation that followed.
Hart sued Shakes for allegedly breaching a non-disclosure agreement by discussing his personal life during an interview with a blogger. He claimed her comments damaged his reputation.
In response, Shakes argued that Hart failed to fulfil his obligations under the agreement, making it void. She also disputed his claim that she damaged his reputation, arguing that Hart’s previous public controversies had already affected his image.
Shakes has indicated that she plans to testify and call Hart as a witness as the case continues.
