Project Positive Image Of Nigeria, Pivot National Reputation Campaign Urges UNILAG Students

Students, academics, media professionals and communication leaders gathered at MAD House, University of Lagos, on July 29 for the Campus Edition of Pivot Nigeria: Reframing the Lens, a national reputation initiative urging young Nigerians to project a more balanced image of the country.

Organised by HighStakes PR Professionals Limited, the Campus Edition marks the next phase of Pivot Nigeria, taking its conversation on reputation, identity and authentic storytelling directly to universities. The initiative is anchored in the belief that reshaping global perceptions of Nigeria begins with how Nigerians see, speak about and represent themselves.

Opening the event, Convener Victoria Uwadoka challenged young Nigerians to look beyond dominant narratives and represent the country with purpose.

“Nigeria’s challenges are real but they are not the whole story. Every day, millions of Nigerians are building businesses, advancing science, preserving culture, creating globally celebrated art, mentoring young people and solving real problems.

Pivot Nigeria exists because the world deserves to see the fuller truth about who we are,” Uwadoka said.

She added that reputation is built not only through communication but through the daily choices and values of citizens.
