Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Named On Witness List In Tupac Shakur Murder Trial

American music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has been listed as a witness in the ongoing murder trial of legendary rapper Tupac Shakur in Las Vegas, Nevada.

State prosecutors named Combs during trial proceedings while connecting him to Duane “Keffe D” Davis, the former gang leader accused of orchestrating the September 1996 drive-by shooting in Las Vegas that resulted in Shakur’s death.

Opening statements commenced following the formal charging of Davis, 63, with one count of murder with the use of a deadly weapon in furtherance of gang activity.

Prosecutors allege that Davis, a former leader of the South Side Compton Crips, directed the revenge attack and provided the firearm used in the killing, though he is not accused of pulling the trigger.

Shakur was gunned down at age 25 while riding in a vehicle driven by former Death Row Records chief Suge Knight, following a boxing match at the MGM Grand. He succumbed to his injuries six days later.

Davis, who has pleaded not guilty, remains the sole individual criminally charged in connection with Shakur’s death nearly 30 years after the incident. If convicted, he faces up to life imprisonment.
