The National Secretary of the pro-Tinubu advocacy group, Relax, Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria, Mr Eleojo Obaje Audu, has urged voters in Anambra State and the wider South-East to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s bid for a second term.
Audu made the call yesterday at the group’s maiden zonal town hall meeting in Awka, the Anambra State capital.
He said Tinubu deserved another term based on what he described as the administration’s achievements in the South-East.
“Looking at what President Bola Tinubu has done for the region, he deserves a second term so that he can fulfil his promises to the region,” Audu said.
Also speaking, the South-East Zonal Coordinator of the organisation, Chief JohnBosco Onunkwo, cited infrastructure development, workers’ welfare, access to education through the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) and agricultural support as areas where he said the administration had made interventions in the region.
Onunkwo also identified the establishment of the South-East Development Commission as a major initiative of the administration.
Speaking on behalf of the group’s Director-General, Dr Farida Deborah Ibrahim, the National Director of Town Hall and Special Duties stressed the need for improved security and regional stability.
She also cited NELFUND and federal partnerships aimed at strengthening commercial activities in the South-East.
The meeting was attended by national and zonal officials of the organisation, including the National Director of Liaison, Hon. Zion Igwemma; National Youth Leader, Hon. Umar Farouk; Director of Student and Youth Engagement, Comrade Adakole Ochai; and Director of Welfare, Ms Rahma Umar.
Others included the Director of Media and Publicity, Mr Musa Abdulrahman; Director of Contact and Mobilisation, Mr Lulu Famweihmi; Director of Administration, Ms Miriam Okonkwo; Deputy Director of Strategy and Deployment, Ms Shalom Edigan; Deputy Director, Humanitarian Affairs, Mr Charles Ibefuna; and Deputy Director of Contact and Mobilisation, Precious Zimat.
