Veteran Nollywood actor and director Ramsey Nouah has opened up on why he has never won an Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Award (AMVCA) despite his decades-long career and status in the film industry.
Speaking during a recent interview on TVC Entertainment, the actor addressed his absence from the winner’s list at the prestigious awards while discussing his preference for maintaining a low profile.
Nouah explained that he deliberately avoids the spotlight and operates behind the scenes, focusing on his craft rather than seeking public recognition or personal promotion.
Explaining his decision to stay away from the limelight, Nouah said:
“I’m able to work better with just being in the low, in the background, than upfront. I feel safer in that lane. If I have a work or a job, I’ll promote the job. It is not about promoting myself, it is about the work.”
The celebrated actor emphasised that while he remains committed to promoting his movie roles and projects, he prefers to keep his private life and personal brand away from public attention.
